What does being digital mean?

THE BLUE is digital, this means no on-site reception and staff are not necessarily present all the time at the hotel.  We have hotel tech in place that enables you to check-in to your room without the need to have Reception. Our smart key technology delivers your own digital key that grants you access to your room and property. Should you need assistance, your personal BLUE HOST is available for you to contact via SMS before and during your stay.

How does the digital process work?

You will receive pre-arrival communication the day prior to your arrival from your personal BLUE HOST.  

You will need to complete your online check-in, a 3 step process.  

On the day of your arrival, you will be issued your digital room key, which will grant you access to your room from 3pm. 

If you require an early check-in, we may be able to accommodate this - please let your BLUE HOST know.

How do I communicate with THE BLUE if I need assistance with my check-in or during my stay?

Reach out to your personal BLUE HOST or call us on 02 9066 4400 anytime, or SMS / WHATSAPP us on +61 483 961 643....we are available 24/7.

Is parking available?

THE BLUE does not have onsite parking. The closest parking facility is Wilson Parking (part of the Hub Shopping Centre), located at 79 Hall Street, Bondi Beach, a 3 minute walk from THE BLUE. Parking is approx $45 per day, however there is 2 hour (free street) parking on Hall Street, and unlimited during the evenings.

Do you offer flexible check-in and check-out times?

Check-in time is at 3pm. Check-out time is 10am. 

We do our best to offer our guests the opportunity to have as much flexibility with their check-in and checkout times. If you wish to request an early check-in or late check-out please contact us on the day on 02 9066 4400 or respond to the SMS sent to by your BLUE HOST the day before arrival.

Can I store my luggage?

Guests can leave their luggage at THE LIVING ROOM located on the ground floor, the entrance is on at Shop 5 on Hall Street.

How far is it to the closest train station?

Bondi Junction train station is a 10min drive from THE BLUE, there is a bus stop directly out the front of the hotel that will take you to Bondi Junction train hub.

Travelling to us from Bondi Junction Station, take BUS 379 (you can use your OPAL or any debit or credit card to tap on and off the bus) and exit the bus on Glenayr Avenue (remember to tap off using the same card or you will be charged the maximum fare). Around the corner you will find our 3 entrances.

Travelling to Bondi Junction, take BUS 379 from Glenayr Avenue in front of BAR Copo which is located on the other side of the road from the hotel. Tap on using your Opal or any debit or credit card to tap on and off the bus when you arrive at your destinations.

Can I add an extra bed?

We do not offer rollaway beds.

Do you provide cots?

We offer baby cots that are free of charge and subject to availability.

Are you pet friendly?

We are dog friendly, in our King + Balcony Suites. Please ensure that you check out our terms and conditions on our dog friendly package.

Do you have cooking facilities?

We do not have cooking facilities. We do provide fridges, ice machines and Nespresso coffee machines.

Where should I go if I need a space to work?

THE LIVING ROOM is located on the ground floor and can be used as a co-working space from 9am till 5pm daily.
